A family-run childcare setting where children feel at home
Tiny Treasures Childcare is an Ofsted-registered, home-based childminding setting in Crofton, run by husband-and-wife team Adrienne and Paul Blundell.
As parents ourselves, we understand how important it is to know that your child is safe, understood and genuinely cared for. Our aim is to provide the warmth and familiarity of family life alongside thoughtful early-years care and education.
Tiny Treasures grew from our own family life
Family is at the centre of everything we do. Tiny Treasures operates from our family home, giving children the opportunity to become part of a small, caring community rather than feeling as though they are entering a large or unfamiliar institution.
Our own experience of raising children has taught us that every child develops differently. Some children need time to watch before joining in, some learn best through movement and exploration, and others thrive when they can repeat a familiar activity until they feel confident.
We use that understanding to create a flexible environment in which children can build secure relationships, make choices and develop at their own pace.

Adrienne Blundell
Adrienne leads much of the curriculum planning, activities, communication with families and ongoing professional development at Tiny Treasures. She is particularly interested in speech and language, learning through play, behaviour, inclusion and helping children become confident and independent.
Outside childcare, Adrienne loves reading, Shakespeare and spending time at her allotment. Her love of books, nature and growing food often inspires the experiences she creates for the children.
Adrienne volunteers at All Saints’ Church, Crofton, and runs the Crofton Uniform Bank through her community group, The Crofton Signpost, helping local families access practical support.

Paul Blundell
Paul works alongside Adrienne to provide care, support children’s play and development and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. As Designated Safeguarding Lead, he has lead responsibility for safeguarding and child-protection arrangements.
Paul is a former Ridings FM presenter and still has a real love of radio. In the evenings, he runs Radio Jingles 24, creating professional jingles and audio branding for radio stations.
He also enjoys darts and plays darts and dominoes for Crofton Working Men’s Club. Paul is Treasurer at All Saints’ Church, Crofton, and enjoys being involved in village and community life.

Children spend time outside, grow food, explore wildlife and learn to care for the natural world.

We love our village and take great pride in being active members of the local community. We believe children benefit from growing up with a strong sense of belonging and connection.
Crofton Church
We both volunteer at All Saints’ Church. Paul is the Treasurer and Adrienne supports community and family activities.
Toddlers on Toast
Together we help run the local toddler group, creating another welcoming place for children and families to meet and play.
The Crofton Signpost
Adrienne runs community projects through The Crofton Signpost, including the Crofton Uniform Bank.
Walking Together
We both love walking, exploring the outdoors and discovering new places together as a family.
Why we became childminders
We wanted to create the kind of childcare we would choose for our own children: a place where children feel safe, families feel supported and learning happens naturally through play, curiosity and everyday adventures.
Childminding allows us to build genuine relationships with families and watch children grow from babies into confident, happy and capable young people. Being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding.

Great childcare starts with childminders who continue to learn, reflect and improve. We complete ongoing training, professional reading and reflective practice so that new knowledge makes a real difference to the children in our care.
