We collect children from Crofton Infants and care for them in our family home until 6:00pm.
After a busy day at school, there is time to eat, talk, play outside, find something quiet to do or simply settle back into ordinary family life.
Home from school
After school belongs to children too.
We do not try to turn the afternoon into another classroom. Children have already spent a long time listening, concentrating and following a timetable.
Some arrive ready to tell us every detail of their day. Others need food, fresh air or a quiet corner before they want to talk. We get to know those differences and give children time to settle in their own way.
There are familiar adults, a small group and a reassuring rhythm to the afternoon—but no pressure to be busy every minute.

There is a rhythm, without every minute being planned.
This is a guide rather than a strict timetable. We adjust the afternoon around the children, the weather and what the group needs.
Families agree their regular collection time with us. Care is available no later than 6:00pm.
- Collected from school We collect children directly from Crofton Infants using the arrangements agreed with their family and the school.
- Something to eat Children can have a drink and afternoon snack while they settle and tell us about their day if they wish.
- Proper time to play They can choose outdoor play, books, drawing, making, games or something quieter. We follow their interests and energy.
- Light dinner around the table A light, home-cooked dinner is served at around 4:30pm and is included in the hourly fee.
- A calm home time Children are ready to go home at their contracted finish time, with their belongings gathered and any messages shared.

Independence
Children choose how they spend their free time, look after their belongings, help at mealtimes and take part in the everyday routines of our home.
Nature
Whenever the afternoon allows, children can get outdoors, notice the seasons, help with growing and enjoy space to move after sitting at school.
Kindness
We listen when children need to talk, help them work through friendship worries and encourage them to look out for younger children in the group.
Everything included
One fee, without the little extras.
Our £7 hourly fee covers the everyday things children need during their afternoon with us.
School collection
Collection from Crofton Infants and care from the end of the school day until the agreed finish time.
Food and drink
An afternoon snack, suitable drinks and a light dinner at around 4:30pm.
Play and practical care
Indoor and outdoor play, creative resources, books, games, suitable outdoor clothing and support with reading when requested.
We will talk with you before your child starts about allergies, dietary requirements, medical needs, collection permissions and anything that will help them feel settled.
After-school fees
A clear hourly rate
Fees are charged from the agreed school collection time until your child’s contracted finish time. Food, drinks and activities are included.
We are registered to accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. Places depend on the days requested, the ages of children already attending and our childminding ratios.

Which school do you collect from?
Our after-school collection is currently available from Crofton Infants.
Which days are available?
We are open Monday to Thursday. Individual days depend on our current availability and childminding ratios.
What time do children need to be collected?
We agree a regular contracted finish time with each family. Children can stay with us until no later than 6:00pm.
Is food included?
Yes. An afternoon snack, suitable drinks and a light dinner at around 4:30pm are included. We discuss allergies and dietary requirements before a child starts.
Will you help with reading or homework?
We are happy to support reading or a simple school activity when a child and their family would like us to. We also protect children’s need for free play and downtime after school.
Does the place include care during school holidays?
Holiday care is not automatically included in an after-school contract. Families can ask whether separate holiday sessions are available.
